Burlap and Jute Webbing
Jute webbing is used to provide support for the upholstery materials. A good jute webbing can easily hold 400 to 500lbs. The 11lb red stripe jute webbing is generally used in the seats as it is stronger. Our jute webbing is 3 1/2in wide and available by the yard or 72yd rolls.

Hessians are noted for their strength and rigidity and so are particularly good as a lining and support cloths for upholstery. A suitable weight should be chosen for light or heavy use. As a general rule, the heavier cloths are used over springing and spring units. Spring Hessian 12oz, Inner linings 10oz and Outer linings 7oz. Jute is the raw material for hessian manufacture, by nature a tough, course, non -stretch base vegetable fiber. Our burlap is 40 inches wide.
