 Upholstery Hand Button  Covering Machine

High quality hand machine. Cuts fabric and covers buttons. Uses 2piece dies and short cutters. It has a reinforced frame and handle. Bolts to a table for added stability. Comes complete with a wood block for cutting covers. It produces 80 to 120 buttons  per hour. Also used to set snaps, grommets and ventilators. Dies for buttons, snaps, grommets and ventilators sold separately.

What is required to Cover Buttons?

FIRST, A Button Covering & Cutting Machine (see above).

SECOND, Steel Cutters & Covering Dies. A separate set of dies is required to make each size of button to get a perfect finished quality. Always use the correct  top die for your material.

THIRD, Button Molds. A complete mold necessary to make a button consists of a shell and back. The shell is covered and crimped around the back by a die. Always use the correct shell for your material.

Chart of Button Sizes

The circles in the chart are not to size, the actual button size is listed to the left. The standard measurement for a button is 40 lignes per inch. Therefore size 30 is 3/4 inch, size 60 is 1 1/2 inch, etc. Dimensions shown are for buttons before covering.

Upholstery Button Dies & Cutter

All dies are precision machined, nickel plated and made of high quality steel. Cutters are heat treated and have sharp edges engineered for accurate cutting and long life. The Button Machine uses 2 piece dies. Always buy die sets made exactly for your material thickness. If you have a variety of material thickness, you will need more than one set of dies. Trying to cover very thin and very thick material with the same set of dies will result in poor quality buttons.
