Curled horse hair is the longest, hardest and most durable of the three types of hair used in upholstery. Animal hair by nature is strong, resilient and each fibre acts as a minute spring when packed close together . Horse hair has little tendency to pack down or form uncomfortable lumps.

Countries may change their import requirements without notice. In all cases, the importer must confirm with the Ministry of Animal Health in the importing country the certification requirements prior to shipping. You need to make sure your country accepts VS Form 16-4 from the USDA. Most countries will not accept certificates issued after consignments have shipped. When you place your order for the horse hair, I will email to confirm that you have checked with your animal health ministry. Once I have confirmation from you and the certificate from the USDA I will ship your order. There is no refunds for international orders of horse hair.
Curled horse hair has been used as an upholstery stuffing for hundreds of years. It is still used in the making of mattresses and other upholstered items.
